Having completed his undergraduate studies at Marmara University, his master’s degree in the United States, and his directing studies at the New York Film Academy, ÖĞRETİCİ returned to Turkey in 2005. After working as a manager in various companies, he founded his company named “Akıl Fikir İşleri” in 2010. He has realized many domestic and foreign productions and award-winning projects with his company.

Founding Esfilm in 2014, ÖĞRETİCİ achieved a successful momentum in his first television series, Filinta, and signed one of the biggest productions ever made in Turkey. Afterwards, he signed many TV series, especially Payitaht Abdulhamid, Halka, İsimsizler. In 2015, he started international production projects and produced the first film, “The Ottoman Lieutenant”, with the Los Angeles-based Eastern Sunrise Film company, aiming to tell the stories of Turkey in Hollywood productions.

ÖĞRETİCİ, continues his activities as a member of the Advisory Board in Solution Turkiye AŞ. since 2023.

He is married and has two children.
