What Are We Doing?
The Dominican government launched the Dominica Citizenship by Investment Program in 1993. Investors and their family members are entitled to visa-free travel to 135 countries and territories around the world, including all European Union countries, Russia, Hong-Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, once they become citizens of Dominica. All applicants have to do is to make the necessary financial contribution to the country by choosing one of the two investment options. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, in good health, and have no criminal record.

- Multiple Citizenships Are Possible in Dominican Law: The government of Dominica accepts multiple citizenships and allows Citizens of Dominica to hold other nationalities. Retention or automatic acquisition of a foreign citizenship does not affect Dominica Citizenship. There are no provisions in Dominican legislation that oblige people born with dual citizenship to choose one of the nationalities they had when they were adults.
- No Taxes on Assets, Inheritance, Overseas Income, Gifts and Capital Gains! Thanks to Dominica’s policy of minimal taxation, citizens’ tax liability is low. There are no net wealth taxes or inheritance taxes, no capital gains taxes, no payroll taxes, no withholding taxes on dividends and interest payments. Citizens of Dominica can reside in Dominica but become taxpayers only after 183 days of physical presence.
- Advantages of Doing Business in Dominica: The Government of Dominica offers a number of financial incentives for investors and entrepreneurs. These include tax holidays, tax exemptions (including VAT on certain capital investments) and streamlined business processes. The East Caribbean dollar (XCD), the currency of Dominica, is pegged to the US dollar (USD) at a fixed exchange rate. Besides, there is no restriction on repatriation of profits and imported capital.

How to Become a Citizen of Dominica
The prerequisite for becoming a Citizen of Dominica is to be at least 18 years old, in good health, and have no criminal record. Those who meet these conditions will be able to become citizens by choosing one of the proposed investment routes.
- Donation to the State Fund: The Government of Dominica has launched the Economic Diversity Fund (EDF) to finance national development in the country. Your donations can be used to fund everything from building schools and hospitals to specific projects in industries like tourism and agriculture. The minimum investment is $100,000 for the main applicant. Additional fees will apply to all dependent family members (spouse, mother, father, children, siblings).
- State Approved Real Estate Projects: State approved real estate includes hotels, spas and villas. A minimum investment of $200,000 must be made in one of these properties to qualify for the citizenship program. Also, the applicant must have held the property for at least 5 years to secure lifetime citizenship. At the end of the period, the investment can be sold if desired.
